　　Alex打算搬出湖边小屋，因为他知道他搬走后Kate就会住进来。为了给Kate一个舒适的家，他抛开自己的工作，一遍又一遍的修改这栋湖边小屋。Henry说这是好事，这证明Alex需要一个实在的女人，而不是虚幻的爱情。但是对Alex来说，Kate对他是如此的真实，从未有过的真实……

Alex：What do you think?

Henry：You're fixating. You know? Why do you keep tweaking the lake house? Why don't you do your own work?

Alex：Because it's hers.

Henry：You're talking about the girl from the future.

Alex：Kate.

Henry：And you're still writing with Kate?

Alex：No.

Henry：Why not?

Alex：She asked me not to.

Henry：Why?

Alex：Time.

Henry：Hey, come on. This is a good thing. You know, you need a real woman. A woman.

Alex：Henry, listen. Listen to me. While it lasted, she was more real to me than any of that stuff¹. She was more real to me than anything l've ever known². l saw her. l kissed her. l love her. And now she's gone. She's gone.
