"Woo-hoo!" Mater hollered, leaning out the window of the Dinoco helicopter as it flew over the Wheel Well. "Hey, hey! Hey, look at me! I’m flyin’!"

It was two days later, and Radiator1 Springs was hopping2. A glistening3 red Ferrari and two black Maseratis had just rolled into Luigi’s tire shop.

"So," the Ferrari told Luigi, "Lightning McQueen told me this was the best place in the world to get tires. How about setting me and my friends up with three or four sets each?"

Luigi gasped4. It was Michael Schumacher! "Guido … ," he cried. "There is a real Michael Schumacher Ferrari in-a my store! A real Ferrari! Punch me, Guido! Punch me in the face. This is the most glorious day of my life!"

Luigi fainted in their presence.

The Ferrari turned to Guido. "I hope your little friend’s okay," he said in Italian. "I hear wonderful things about your store."

Guido gaped5 at the Ferrari. Then he fainted, too. Sally was at the Wheel Well, looking down on the town, when Lightning appeared beside her. He was decked out in his full Radiator Springs paint and stickers.

"Ka-chow!" he said.

They both laughed.

"Just passin’ through?" Sally asked.

"Actually … ," Lightning said, keeping his voice casual, "I thought I’d stop and stay a while." He leaned toward Sally. "I hear this place is back on the map," he said in a confidential6 whisper.

Sally gave him a dubious7 look. "It is?"

"Yeah, there’s a rumor8 floating around that some hotshot Piston9 Cup race car is setting up his big racing10 headquarters here," Lightning replied.

Sally’s eyes widened. "Really?" she asked, then caught herself. "Oh, well … ," she said, playing it cool. "There goes the town."

"You know," Lightning whispered, "I really missed you, Sally." The race car leaned closer to her.

"Lightning and Sally, parked beneath a tree!" Mater shouted as the helicopter flew past.

"K-I-S-S … uh … I-N-T!"

"Great timing11, Mater!" Lightning shouted. He looked at Sally. "He’s my best friend… ," he explained with a shrug12. "What are you gonna do?"

"So, Stickers," Sally said, giving him a playful grin. "Last one to Flo’s buys?"

"I don’t know, why don’t we just take a drive?" Lightning suggested.

Sally’s eyes twinkled. "Naah." Then she suddenly took off down the mountain.

"Yeah!" Lightning shouted as he took off after her. "Ka-chow!"
