The Beijing 10,000-people snooker rankings competition will be held from May to July. The event marks the longest and biggest folk competition of its kind with over 100 snooker houses in the Chinese capital taking part. Enthusiasts1, aged2 between 10 to 65, can register at www.ccsports.com.cn or at the snooker houses starting today. Competitions inlcude snooker, 8-ball pool and women's 9-ball. Snooker and pool are for both men and women. In order to make it easy for the players to see their latest results and rankings in the tournament, China Community Sports Union Net (ccsports.com.cn) was launched yesterday. Beijing's cue sport is on an upcurve thanks to the rise of Ding Junhui and Pan Xiaoting. Pan won the 9-ball World Championships last month in Taipei while Ding also has the pleasure to become the first Chinese mainland player to compete in the snooker Worlds this week 点击收听单词发音
