Chinese Super League champions Shandong Luneng have acquired 12 points after beating Australia's Adelaide United 1-0, South Korea's Seongnam Ilhwa Chunma 2-1, and Dong Tam Long An 4-0 in the home match and 3-2 in the away game consecutively² to remain the first place of the Group G.

The Vietnamese side enjoyed a stunning³ start when Tshamala scored only 14 minutes into the game. China's U-21 star forward Wang Yongpo levelled the score for Shandong 14 minutes later. But Thuong's goal lifted Dong Tam Long An to 2-1 lead on 36 minutes. Thuong was then red carded in the 41st minute.
