From March 19 to 22, the Chinese economic and trading
delegation1 headed by Wei Jianguo,
Vice2 Minister of Commerce, and
Wan3 Baorui, Vice Chairman of the Agriculture and Rural Affairs Committee of NPC, paid a visit to Zambia successfully. In less than two days and a half, the delegation held several talks with President of Zambia
Levy4 Mwanawasa, Vice President Lupando Mwape, Agriculture Minister Mundia Sikatana and Minister of Commerce, Trade and Industry Dipak Patel. They discussed deeply the China-Zambia economic and trading cooperation and reached a lot in common in political and economic fields. On March 21, on behalf of government of Zambia the vice president Lupando Mwape declared officially that Zambia supported China's full market economy status.
During the visit in Zambia, the delegation investigated and researched deeply for the "Going Out" of China's agriculture enterprises. Chinese Enterprises in Zambia Symposium5 was held the Economic and Commercial Counsellor's Office. The delegation visited three Chinese-funded farms, held talks with National Farmers Association of Zambia and investigated deeply rural area of Zambia. They were deeply impressed by the nicer agriculture investing condition in Zambia
