A manymuch

many(形容词)用在可数名词之前。

much(形容词)用在不可数名词之前。

He didnt make many mistakes2

We havent much coffee

He gets a lot of letters but she doesnt get many

You have a lot of free3 time but I havent much

B manymuch

manymuchsoas4/too修饰时也可以与肯定动词连用。

I made5 a good many friends there

He has had6 so many jobs that

She read as much as she could7

They drink too muchgin).

many是宾语或宾语的一部分而前面不加任何修饰语时,常常被 a lot/lots of+名词)或a lotlots(代词)代替。much是宾语或宾语的一部分时常常被a greatgood deal8 of+名词)或agreatgood deal(代词)代替:

I saw9 a lotlots of seabirdsI expect10 you saw a lot too

He spends a lotlots of/a great deal of money on his house

Much will depend11 on what the minister12 says

He hasnt won13 many races

Youve won a lotlots of races./Youve won a lot./Youve won a greatmanyraces).

He didnt eat much fruit

She ate14 a lot/lotsa great deal of fruit./She ate a lota great deal

C manymuch

How many times

How much

Did1 you take a lot of photosI expect you did

Did you have a lot of snow/much snow last year
