Despite being around for well over a decade, there are few set rules of 'digital etiquette¹' that everyone can agree on when it comes to using social media, emails and text messages.

Some hate oversharing, others love to air their dirty laundry whenever they can and a small number think it's acceptable² to end relationships over text.

Digital etiquette, or netiquette as it is sometimes called, is a basic set of rules you should follow in order to make the internet better for others, and better for you. It’s just as important to treat people with courtesy³ and respect online as it is in real life.
