你的电脑受到微软的黑屏警示了吗？本月20日起，微软正式在中国启动Windows XP和Office的正版验证行动，盗版用户的电脑将每小时黑屏1次，并会不断弹出提示窗口提醒正在使用盗版软件的用户。虽然微软一再强调这是“善意的提醒”，并且通过媒体向广大用户透露“防黑屏”的高招，但是这一举措还是遭到了广大网友的反对。

    Software giant Microsoft has sparked a major controversy¹ among millions of Chinese computer users with the nationwide launch Tuesday of its "Screen Blackout" anti-piracy² program. An online survey at sina.com suggested more than four in five respondents said the Microsoft move would not be effective in curbing³ software piracy.

    本周二，软件业巨头微软公司在全中国范围内启动“黑屏”反盗版行动，这在中国数百万电脑使用者中激起了很大争议。新浪网调查显示，五分之四以上的被调查者认为微软的这一举动在限制盗版软件方面收效甚微。

    Anti-piracy就是我们经常提到的“反盗版”。这是在intellectual property rights（知识产权）领域里最常出现的一个词。

    Anti作为前缀，表示否定的意思，如antiwar（反战的），anti-colonial（反殖民主义的），antifat（防止肥胖的），antimissile（反导弹）。口语中，我们还可以说pros and antis，意即“赞成派和反对派”。

    Piracy在这里指“盗版，侵犯专利权”，如：the seven measures against copyright piracy（打击盗版的七项措施）。

    我们在新闻中经常听到的全国“扫黄”、“打非”工作小组办公室就是Anti-Piracy and Pornography Working Committee, P.R.C.。除了盗版的意思外，piracy还可以指“剽窃”或“海盗行为”。想要避免“黑屏”，就要确保a genuine copy of Windows is installed and validated（安装正版Windows操作系统并通过验证），或者你就试试网上提供的各种小窍门吧。
