Bluejacking means temporarily hijacking¹ another person's cell phone by sending it an anonymous² text message using the Bluetooth wireless³ networking system. Bluetooth works over a range of about 10 metres and phones fitted with it can be made to search for other handsets using it that will accept messages sent to them.

Bluejacking（bluetooth＋hijacking，蓝牙劫持）指通过蓝牙无线传输网络给别人的手机发送匿名信息，感觉就好像突然把人家的手机劫持了一样。蓝牙的有效传输距离为十米，也就是说，在十米范围内可以搜索到其它正在使用蓝牙功能的便携设备，并向其发送信息。

Bluejacking is usually harmless, but because bluejacked people generally don't know what has happened, they may think that their phone is malfunctioning⁴. Usually, a bluejacker will only send a text message, but with modern phones it's possible to send images or sounds as well. Bluejacking has been used in guerrilla marketing⁵ campaigns to promote advergames.
