Afterparty or after-party refers to a relaxed social gathering¹ which occurs after a party, concert, or trip to a nightclub.

 

Afterparty（也写作after-party）指参加完欢聚派对、音乐会或者去完夜店之后举行的一个气氛放松的社交聚会。

 

Around the middle of the first decade in the 21st century, media coverage² of large, glittery celebrity³ events such as the Oscar and BAFTA awards ceremonies suddenly started making effervescent reference to the after-party, an eagerly anticipated relaxing and drinking session taking place after the main event. The after-party continues to thrive in 2013, providing yet more fodder⁴ for hungry paparazzi and celebrity gossip columns.
