"Government cars used for private purpose" and "reimbursement¹ of private car expenses" are listed as the most common forms of corruption² in use of government vehicles by those surveyed by China Youth Daily.

 

《中国青年报》的调查显示，“公车私用”和“私车消费公家报销”是最普遍的公车腐败现象。

 

“公车腐败”可用corruption involving government vehicles或者corruption in use of government vehicles表示，具体的表现形式包括：公车私用（government cars used for private purpose）、私车消费公家报销（reimbursement of private car expenses）、公车照坐，车补照发（irregular subsidies）、公车浪费（waste involving government vehicles）、公车采购追求豪华（purchase of excessively luxurious³ cars）以及公车数量超标（an excessive number of government vehicles）等。

 

为了杜绝公车腐败，不少地方政府已经推出了相关政策，比如为公车配备GPS追踪系统（Global Positioning Systems (GPS) devices），或者推行公车有偿使用政策等，以进一步规范公车使用（to standardize⁴ the use of government vehicles）。
