The first group of 13 female members of the People's Liberation Army (PLA) Honor Guard made their debut¹ on Monday.

 

我国首批13名人民解放军仪仗队女兵周一首次亮相。

 

仪仗队（Honor Guard），也叫Ceremonial Guard，是军队中执行礼仪任务的分队，由陆、海、空三军人员共同组成，象征着国家或军队的最高礼仪。仪仗队供到访元首检阅（provide detachments for review by visiting heads of state）是其常见的任务之一。

 

中国人民解放军三军仪仗队（Combined Honor Guard of the People's Liberation Army）与军乐队（military band），礼炮队（gun salute² unit）共同承担不同规格的司礼任务。
