A: Beginning with the June 2005 test, the time allotted2 for the unscored LSAT writing sample will increase from 30 to 35 minutes, the writing space will increase from one to two pages, the directions have been revised, and each test taker will be randomly3 assigned one of two different kinds of writing prompt. One kind is new to the LSAT. The other is very similar to the kind of writing prompt that has previously4 been administered with the LSAT and that has appeared in official LSAT preparation materials produced prior to June 2005. The writing sample will remain unscored.

A: If you graduated from a university degree, no matter what kind of major, got a not bad LSAT score and have enough money, you are qualified6 to pursue JD in US.
A: I do not think so. if you get LSAT and GPA high enough. Your background doesnt matter. In fact, Law school pay more attention to LSAT and GPA. JD bases on only university education, not your experience.
A: Your numbers (LSAT&GPA) are No. 1 important.
You do have nice background. it would be a plus in your application. Some law schools such as Northwestern like applicants7 with some experience. But I dont think background in law is preferred than that in other areas. Diversity is what they really want.
Most schools would take your work experience into consideration, but it is not a major factor. A lot Americans go to law school directly out of college.
Q: Experiment Section in LSAT
Is it true that the experiment section in LSAT could either be Logic5 Game or Reading?
A: could be Logic Game, Reading or Logic Reasoning. Suggest do not guess.
A: the experimental usually appears among the first three sections
As Cracking the LSAT says, "a pen will be provided at the test center, which must be used (for writing sample only) to ensure a photocopy8 of high quality". Is that true?
A: for the whole test, use pencil and pencil only for the answer sheet and writing.
A: It is fine to take the first test as a practice.
Mind one thing though. you can take three tests at most within two years.

A: I dont know if there is quota9 system for international students. but it is true that some schools are more friendly to Chinese students than others. schools like Columbia, Michigan, Upenn, William & Mary and WUSL seem to have a lot of Chinese LL.Ms. JDs in any one of all the law schools are rare, so it may become hard to know if they love or hate us
A: Schools are looking for diversity. Sometimes even a relatively10 low scores on LSAT, GPA, might be admitted by his/her diversity.
A: Stanford has an unofficial quota: only 10-20% of students accepted are Asians.
Note that most of those are ABCs and AB whatever other Asians...
A: Diversity is only for blacks, Hispanics and native Americans.
Asians have NO ADVANTAGE, possibly a disadvantage competing against white students.
-Irena is right. Asians are minority but not URM (under-representative minorities)
-Too bad that none of us is a black man (or black woman, Hispanic man, Hispanic woman, etc.)
If it is at all possible, it maybe beneficial NOT to let the schools know we are Chinese.
Since it is not possible...we have to bite the bullet
