Beijing - Former International Olympic Committee Chairman Juan Antonio Samaranch signed an agreement Saturday with China Tennis Association (CTA) to help establish the China Teenager Tennis Development Fund.
Juan Dedeu, who is responsible of managing the Samaranch Foundation, said the former IOC president had talked with China Tennis Sports Administration as early as in 2005 about offering better training for players who possess the ability to capture Olympic medals in 2008 Beijing Games. "And this time, the financial aid from Beiqi Foton Group has greatly enhanced this efforts," Dedeu said. Wang Jinyu, president of the biggest Chinese business vehicle maker1 said that his enterprise will donate RMB100 yuan to the funds on each sales of its MP-X business car and will award this 8-seat van to any Chinese tennis player who manages a medal in 2008 Olympics.
