Ronnie O'Sullivan completed a 10-3 victory over China's Ding Junhui in a final of the Saga1 Insurance Masters at Wembley Arena2 last night which was marred3 by the behaviour of some of the spectators.
Ding, 19, was unsettled by a noisy, partisan4 crowd and said he was unhappy with some of the remarks that were made. "It is very different to events like the China Open because the fans go in groups and I felt very alone here," he said.
"I was a bit annoyed with some of comments because I couldn't concentrate." Asked whether he had been distracted by a male spectator, who was subsequently thrown out of the arena for shouting, Ding replied: "No comment". He gave the same response when he was asked whether - as appeared to be the case - he cried during the match.
Ding also offered to concede the final a frame too early, holding out his hand to O'Sullivan with the score at 9-3 as play stopped for an interval5.
