“stage、phase¹、spell、period” 都与一段时间或一个时间点有关。下面我们一个一个来具体讲。

 

“Stage” 可以描述 “在一个过程中某件事情发生变化时的某个阶段”，也可以是 “某个事物发展过程中的一段时间”。比如：We've reached the final stage of the building work – we just need to add the roof now. 我们已经到了工程的最后阶段，现在就剩下加盖屋顶了。

 

在使用中，还可以用 “at a stage… where” 来表示 “处于某个阶段”。来听两个例句。
