Chinanews, Hangzhou, Oct. 12 – Cricket fight has a long history in China, where people often go in for such an activity to relax themselves. But currently in Hangzhou, cricket fight has become a notorious gamble.

 

"Only 'five jiao' can make you enjoy a wonderful cricket fighting," a gambler cried out.

 

"Five jiao" is a code word. In fact it refers to 50 yuan (US$6.3). Most participants, of course, often come out the loser in the gamble. Gambling1 parties can be seen going about their "work" stealthily hidden in Hangzhou's alleys2. Usually five gambling parties are held at the same time.

 

These people do not usually pay much attention to the crickets. They only care about money. When someone lose too much money, to be followed by a street fighting.

 

People living nearby often complain about their sleep being disturbed by the gamblers' fist-fight.
