Experts say it is important for white collars to take regular health checks, and they should cultivate good habits like appropriate physical exercises and balanced diets, which will help keep them fit.
Chinanews, Shanghai, Nov. 4 – Currently many white collars in Shanghai suffer from fatty liver, lobular hyperplasia of breast and high blood lipids. Doctors say all these diseases are called "rich man's diseases," and their incidence rates are all above 10%, which may also trigger serious cardiovascular diseases and malignancies.
A hospital serving white collars in Shanghai recently conducted a health check for 38,381 white collars from foreign-invested enterprises, and the result shows that 12.7% of them suffer from fatty liver, 10.8% have high blood lipids, and 18.9% of female participants suffer from lobular hyperplasia of breast. Moreover, 4.8% and 4.4% suffer from hyperuricemia and hepatitis B respectively.
