Chinanews, Shanghai, November 7 – A research on modern Chinese’s mind reveals that most of them enjoy a very strong sense of pride.

This research was sponsored by the Ministry¹ of Education, and conducted by several universities and institutions in Shanghai. Finally, answers from 4,568 responders in 31 provinces, autonomous² regions and municipalities have been confirmed to be valid³.

About 52.3% of the responders feel “very” proud, and 30.5% feel “somewhat” proud.

Interestingly, responders with less income do have a stronger sense of pride than those with more income.

The research also finds that scientist remains⁴ the most respected post in the country.
