Feb.8 - The top ten cities migrant workers prefer to live and work in are Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, Shenzhen, Hangzhou, Qingdao, Xiamen, Suzhou, Wuxi and Wenzhou, CRI reported.

The Guangzhou-based Information Times reports CCTV and local media organizations asked migrant workers across China to nominate¹ their favorite cities.

They nominated² the top ten cities because they have efficiently³ worked to improve living conditions for migrant workers and protect their rights.

Increasing concerns have been raised over migrant workers' welfare in recent years. A wide range of people have urged the government to provide migrant workers with medical and work insurance.
