A massive 7.4-magnitude aftershock jolted¹ Nepal on Tuesday.

The latest earthquake, which occurred at 12:50 p.m. local time (0705 GMT), is centered 83 km east of the capital of Kathmandu and 22 km southeast of Zham, China, the U.S. Geological Survey said.

Panicked people rushed to open places and streets right after the quake.

The strong tremor² was also felt across northern and eastern India.
