Chinanews, Beijing, Nov. 29 – Chinese way of tackling anti-corruption1 cases has been recognized by the international community. The efforts and achievements made by China in fighting against corruption have also won their acclaim3, according to the latest version of the Outlook Weekly, a magazine sponsored by the Xinhua News Agency.
Statistics show that over the past few years, Chinese institutions that deal with anti-corruption cases have punished 200,000 to 300,000 officials of various ranks every year, and transferred those suspected of having committed crimes to judicial4 departments. Without the strong will of the ruling party and the central government, the task is almost impossible, since all these officials have power in varying degrees.
Chinese anti-corruption efforts also prove effective. Apart from successfully investigating and prosecuting5 some important cases, Chinese government’s efforts of setting up a system that focuses on punishing corrupt2 officials and preventing corruption cases are also highly recognized by many senior officials in the international community.
In China, the task of combating corruption is shared by various departments. It has been approved in reality that the system is in accordance with the country’s specific situation and is conducive6 to the fight against corruption.
