Chinanews, Beijing, Sept. 8 – According to Beijing Evening News, family tombs of the Jin (1115-1234), Ming (1368-1644) and Qing (1644-1911) dynasties were discovered in Beijing on Sept. 4. One family tomb of the Jin Dynasty period was discovered in Beijing for the first time.
In August, Shijingshan District authorities invited Beijing archeologists to unearth1 an ancient tomb group there. The occupant of the main tomb was Lu Siyan, a senior official in the Jin Dynasty. He died at 65. Experts said other tombs are of Lu’s children’s. Currently, the evacuation work is still going on..
