Chinanews, Shenzhen, Oct 14 – China has finished related research work for the first phase of the moon probe project. The launch of the first moon probe satellite, Chang'e No.1, is on the countdown. Chinese people will soon realize its dream of going to the moon, said Hu Yafeng, deputy secretary-general of the Commission of Science, Technology and Industry for National Defense1 (COSTIND), on Thursday.
Chang'e No.1 satellite will be launched before the end of this month. The moon probe satellite is now placed in the satellite center, waiting for the launch. So far, everything has been going on well, said Sun Laiyan, director-general of the China National Space Administration, who is also deputy director-general of the COSTIND. With self-innovation, China's national defense technology has made great progress on space technology, space application and space science. China is able to make all kinds of civil-use satellites and also to produce and launch various kinds of carrier rockets, said Hu.
