Chinanews, Hohhot, October 24 – Paleontologists found 17 rare dinosaur1 fossils in Bayinmandu of Wulatehou Banner, Inner Mongolia, including the fossils of protoceratops, ankylosaurus and dinosaur eggs.
The fossils were found in a nature reserve for fossils of the Cretaceous Period, most scattered2 in the grassland3 north on the north of the Yinshan Mountain, an area of 350 km wide from west to east and 40 km long from north to south. Bayinmandu has already been made a regional historical heritage, for so many precious fossils have been found here. Since 1987, 3 explorations by Sino-Canadian and Sino-Belgium teams were conducted in this area, with the first discovery of a complete skeleton of protoceratops in the world.
