Chinanews, Chengdu, Nov. 13 – The giant panda Meisheng lived its first day in Wolong, Sichuan Province after it came back from America.
Lisa, a zookeeper from the US, helped to look after Meisheng together with Chinese experts. Meisheng got up early, but it felt nervous, and refused people getting close to her. Experts have worked out a plan to help Meisheng feel better in its new home. Lisa said that she would return to the States with her American colleagues1 on the next day, and this was probably the last time for her to see the panda at close quarters. Xie Hao, a researcher from China Giant Panda Protection2 Research Institute, said it would a long time for the panda to adapt to the new environment. He joked that she had been accustomed3 itself to English-speaking people, and now she must listen to Chinese-speaking people.
