Chinanews, Urumqi, December 12 – Several illegal mapping and surveying cases involving foreigners have been cracked in Xinjiang, with 14,200 maps confiscated¹.

The first case after the implementation² of the regulation on mapping and surveying by foreigners in China involved 4 suspects from Japan, which took place on last April 24. After that several similar cases were cracked, involving suspects from both home and abroad.
