As we already know， rain is drops of water from the cloud. If there is no cloud， there won't be rain. When it rains， clouds are generally very thick and the sunlight¹ can not possibly shine through them. Therefore， we can not see the sun or the moon. They are not hiding from us. Actually， they are hid-den by the cloud. When the rain stops and clouds disappear， we can see the sun and the moon again.
