Chinanews, Beijing, Feb.3 – It is estimated that there will be fewer sandstorms in north China this spring than in the same period last year.

Experts analyzed¹ vegetation and weather pattern in north China. Possible weather changes were also taken into consideration.

However, there will be heavy sandstorms if strong cold waves intrude² the area.

In the spring of 2006 alone, 18 sandstorms attacked China, including 5 very severe ones.
