      Humanism Influences Social Development ----Difference between Chinese and Western Cultures
      Chinese culture is the only culture which can be against western culture
      in modern world. The other culture, such as Egypt, India, Islam and
      Buddhism¹ and so on,   are hopeless to be the main stream culture of the
      world. However, western culture and Chinese culture are both in danger at
      the moment.
       The danger of western culture is “danger of aim”, because the western
      countries have developed in their total term. However, western countries
      have their economical advantages to obtain the lifelessness of the
      society. In fact, the true nature of “mankind” results in the case. The
      westerners emphasize privacy and individuality, no matter how the man is.
      Max had ever showed that the property made by capitalism² in over 100 years
      (including spirit property) was over more than all the property made
      before. Nowadays, western world has much progress in many elements of
      “privacy” of mankind because of the development of society.
      The fundament of western countries and systems still bases on “the nature
      of mankind’s privacy”. It results in many deep dangers in social culture.
      The most prominent is showed that the productive ability of western
      countries is rather developed, but the gap of income is larger day by day.
      The richer people make more money and the poor one is poorer.
      In contrast of western countries, the danger of Chinese culture is “the
      danger of development”. China doesn’t develop totally in agriculture any
      more and it can not reach the require of social industrialization
      development in many cases. For example, competence³, exchanges of markets
      and etc. Thus, it limits the development of industrialization. However,
      every society is possible to reach the modern society without practicing
      of the thorough industrialization. The reason is whether the society
      denies, rejects even disguise the nature of privacy of mankind. The most
      people of society are then contained in production, initiative of creation
      and active ability.
      “Regardless of profits is the important reason of the tendency of Chinese
      culture’s going down!” Chinese pay attention to “harmony”, “middle” and it
      drive the agriculture’s development in ancient times. However, this
      culture is resisted to the social industrialization according to history
      development. For instance, we still broadcast LeiFeng’s spirit and pursue
      “contribution without profits”, etc. Though it’s good in the abstract,
      it’s bad in the concrete society. That’s why we talk about “LeiFeng” and 
 contribution but the social atmosphere and social economy still worsened
      more and more.
      How can we achieve the leap of industrialization in such situation!
      “Repelling competence” is the largest defect to our social culture. Of
      course, “the standard of competence” is the basic standard.
      What we need to notice is that Chinese culture emphasize “harmony”, “love”
      and reach the target of “mankind’s harmony”. This is the fundamental
      marrow⁴ of our culture, so what we must do is attracting reasonable
