WHEN THE SIGNAL TURNS GREEN, WE'RE

　　ALWAYS THE FIRST

　　绿灯亮起，我等先行

　　Once I took a taxi with a friend to a suburb we were not so familiar with.

　　All the way, we talked and laughed with the driver. But somehow, we encountered red lightsfor five or six times in a row . On the point of reaching a crossing, we encountered a red light onceagain. My friend just muttered , “What a bad luck! Red lights all the way. Only one step left.”

　　The driver turned with a confident smile, “Not unlucky! God is very fair, for when the signalturns green, we're always the first to go!”

　　一次， 我和朋友一起乘出租车到郊区，可我们对那个地方不是很熟悉。

　　一路上，我们和司机有说有笑。但是不知怎么的，有一段路我们遇上了五六次红灯。

　　眼看要到一个十字路口了，我们居然又遇上了红灯。朋友嘟囔道：“真倒霉！一路遇到的都是红灯。每次就只差那么一步。”

　　司机却很有信心，转过头来笑着说：“才不是倒霉呢！上帝很公平，因为一旦变绿灯，我们总是率先通过呀！”
