本文是经典爱情电影听力系列The Lake House(湖边小屋，又叫“触不到的恋人”)的第十五段对白。

　　Alex为了追回大狗Jack来到Morgan的门前，Alex觉得似乎在哪见过Morgan，那当然是在他找回Kate丢失的书那天。当得知Alex拥有一套湖边小屋时，Morgan希望Alex能为他的女朋友Kate找一套湖边的房屋。

　　Mona追随至这里，互相认识过后，Morgan邀请他们俩来参加Kate的生日晚会，Alex当然求之不得。

Morgan：Yours, I take it?

Alex：Yeah. Yeah, sorry. Thanks. Come here, Jack¹. What were you thinking², huh, girl? What were you thinking? She's never run off like that.

Morgan：You gotta keep an eye on them. What's his name?

Alex：Her. Jack.

Morgan：Jack. lt's a good name for a girl. I should get one like you for my girlfriend. She loves dogs.

Alex：Hey, have we met before?

Morgan：No, don't think so. Morgan Price.

Alex：Alex Wyler.

Alex：Hey, man, you need a hand with this?

Morgan：Yeah.

Alex：Okay.

Morgan：Lived here long?

Alex：Just a few months. I've got a place on the lake.

Morgan：The lake, really? I've been thinking--

Mona：Alex. Oh, good. Thank God³ you found him.

Alex：Yeah. Mona, Morgan. Morgan, Mona.

Morgan：Well, hello.

Mona：Hi.

Morgan：lt's good to meet you.

Mona：Nice to meet you too.

Morgan：Nice boots⁴ there. Listen, just so you don't think I'm gonna drink all this by myself. I'm having friends over tonight for a party. You two are welcome to come. Oh, hey, Alex. Take my card. I might be looking to rent a place on the lake myself.

Alex：Okay.

Morgan：It's Kate, my girlfriend, she's never really liked this place and I promised we'd look for something new once she finishes her residency. So if you hear of anything....

Alex：Sure. She's a doctor?

Morgan：Yeah.

Mona：Alex.

Alex：Great to meet you, Morgan.

Morgan：Great to meet you.

Alex：Hey, Morgan, what time's that party at?

Morgan：Eight o'clock. lt's Kate's birthday.

Alex：lt's Kate birthday. Come on, Jack.

4. hear of：听说。Morgan想问Alex有没有听说关于出租湖边房子的事情，Alex想的却是原来他就是Kate的男朋友。
