Marlin and Nemo swam frantically inside their tank on the truck, feeling helpless and worried. Then Nemo thought he spotted Dory floating inside the last tank being carried onto the truck!

Marlin and Nemo were thrilled until Hank uncamouflaged, revealing that it was just one of his tentacles that he'd masked to look like Dory. Marlin was confused. "Hey, where's Dory? Is she with you?"

Hank could barely look at them. "I'm sorry. I tried to hold on, but I couldn't. I lost her," he said.

"All right, let's get going," said one of the staffers. "We're going to be late." Nemo and Marlin's faces fell as the back door of the truck slammed shut.

Meanwhile, Dory was racing through the water, talking a mile a minute, trying to catch her parents up on everything that had happened over the years. Dory paused, trying to remember which way to go.

Then she heard a familiar voice: "Hello, I'm Sigourney Weaver."

"There!" shouted Dory, swimming up to the surface. "That's the Marine Life Institute!"

"Oh, you were born there," said Jenny nostalgically.

"Dory, is that where your friends are?" asked Charlie.

"Yes! They were stuck in something ... that was going somewhere ...," said Dory, trying to remember.

Then they heard the roar of a truck starting up in the parking lot above them.

"A TRUCK!" gasped Dory. "They're in the truck!"

Dory immediately began to pace, trying to come up with an idea. Her parents watched, concerned, as she swam around in circles, muttering to herself. They knew it was nearly impossible for a few fish to stop a moving truck. But Dory continued to rack her brain, searching for a solution. "This has been brought to you by ... echolocation ... echolocation! The world's most powerful ... ocean friends ... friends. Friends ... friend! Destiny. Destiny? Destiny!"

Inside Destiny's pool, a new staffer dumped a bucket of chum and sang, "Time for breakfast, girl!"

Destiny awoke with a snort and swam around the pool, bumping into walls along the way. As she rubbed the sleep from her eyes, she heard a faint, familiar voice cry, "DESTINYYYYYY!" She quickly swam over to the pipe vent.

"Dooooorrryy?" Destiny answered.

Bailey swam over to the gate, newly awake. "Morning, Destiny," he said with a yawn.

Destiny shushed him. "It's Dory! Something's wrong!"

Bailey and Destiny rose to the surface of their pools. Bailey tapped into his echolocation and began to look for Dory. "Oooooo... I got her! She's right outside the Institute!"

Bailey told Destiny they had to jump over the wall so they could go into the ocean and help Dory. "No time to argue!" he said firmly. But Destiny was afraid because of her blurry vision. She didn't think she would survive in the ocean.

"I will be your eyes," Bailey said wisely.

Destiny wasn't so sure. "But the walls!" she exclaimed.

"There are no walls in the ocean!" Bailey said. Then he leaned in close and whispered in her ear, "It's your destiny, Destiny."

"Well, why didn't you say so?" Destiny dove under the water and raced toward the edge of the pool.

"What? No! Destiny, wait!" yelled Bailey. "No! THAT'S A WALL!"

Destiny shrieked and leapt over the wall just before she crashed! Bailey followed her, jumping out of his own tank with a splash. She and Bailey both landed on the other side. They were now in the ocean — and right next to Dory and her parents.

 

马林和尼莫在货车上的水箱里疯狂地游动着，束手无策却又心急如焚。这时，尼莫仿佛瞅见了多莉正游在最后一个被搬上货车的水箱里。

马林和尼莫激动万分，直到汉克显形之后，这才发现那只不过是一个他伪装得好似多莉的触角。马林很是困惑。“嗨，多莉去哪儿了？她没跟你一起吗？”

汉克几乎不敢看着他们俩。“对不起。我尽力抓紧了，可还是没能成功。我把她弄丢了。”他说。

“好吧，我们该出发了，”一名工作人员说，“快要迟到了。”随着货车后门砰的一声关上，尼莫和马林的脸顿时沉了下来。

与此同时，多莉一边飞快地在海水里游动，一边连珠炮似的说个不停，想把这些年来所经历的所有事情都告诉父母。多莉停了一会儿，想要记起该往哪条路走。

这时她听到了一个熟悉的声音：“你好，我是西格妮·韦弗。”

“那里！”多莉喊着游向了水面。“那就是海洋生物研究所！”

“哦，你就是在这里出生的。”珍妮带着怀旧的情绪说道。

“多莉，你的朋友们在这里吗？”查理问。

“是的！他们被困在了什么里面……好像是要去什么地方……”多莉努力回想着。

接着他们听到上方的停车场传来了货车发动的声响。

“货车！”多莉气喘吁吁地说，“他们在货车里！”

多莉立刻缓缓地游动起来，努力地思索着办法。她的父母则关切地望着她一边转圈游动，一边喃喃自语。他们知道想要靠几条鱼去阻止开动的货车简直就是不可能。不过多莉还在绞尽脑汁，寻思着解决方法。“你能到这个地步都是靠……回声定位……回声定位！世界上最厉害的……海洋朋友们……朋友们。朋友们……朋友！运儿。运儿？运儿！”

在运儿的水池里，一位新来的员工一边将一桶鱼食倒进去一边高声喊道：“该吃早餐了，姑娘！”

运儿呼哧一声睡醒，在水池里游动起来，一路上还不停地撞着墙。她揉着蒙眬睡眼，听到了一声微弱、熟悉的呼唤。“运……儿！”她快速游到了管道通风口。

“多——莉？”运儿答道。

贝利游到隔门口，也才刚刚醒来。“早安，运儿。”他打着哈欠说道。

运儿发出“嘘”声让他别吵。“是多莉！出事儿了！”

贝利和运儿浮到池子的水面上。贝利启动他的回声定位开始寻找多莉。“喔哦哦……我找到她了！她就在研究所外面！”

贝利告诉运儿，他们得跳出围墙，这样才能到大海里去帮助多莉。“没时间争论了！”他坚定地说道。可是运儿却因为她那模糊的视力而有所担忧。她觉得自己没法在海洋里生存下去。

“我就是你的眼睛。”贝利聪明地说道。

运儿还是很犹豫。“可是那些墙！”她喊道。

“大海里没有墙！”贝利说。接着他俯身靠近，对她耳语道：“那才是你的命运，运儿。”

“好吧，你怎么不早说呢？”运儿潜到水里，朝着水池边缘疾驰而去。

“什么？不！运儿，等等！”贝利嚷道，“不！那是墙！”

就在快要撞上之时，运儿尖叫着越过了围墙！贝利紧随其后，一个浪花跃出了自己的水池。她和贝利都安全地落到了围墙另一边。现在他们来到了海洋——就在多莉和她父母的身旁。
