A grenade attack has killed at least 15 people in north-east Kenya, close to the borders of Somalia and Ethiopia.
肯尼亚东北部紧邻索马里、埃塞俄比亚边界的地方发生一起手榴弹袭击事件,至少15人丧生。
More than 20 people were injured in the attack about 30km (18 miles) from the town of Banisa, in Mandera county.
The violence reportedly broke out in a camp for displaced people.
It follows fighting on Friday between two clans1 in the same area which left at least six people dead. Hundreds are reported to be fleeing.
A police officer in Mandera was quoted by AFP news agency as saying: "Those killed were in one of the IDP (internally displaced people) camps where people displaced in recent attacks have been staying."
No group has so far said it carried out the attack.
Community leader Ibrahim Hussein, who has been taking part in attempts to defuse the violence, appealed to both clans - Degodia and Gari - to lay down their arms.
"We will not allow people, particularly women, children, the elderly to be killed in a senseless manner," he told the BBC's Focus on Africa.
Reports say those suspected of carrying out the attack were thought to be from Ethiopia and had targeted a car carrying a Banisa town commissioner3.
