China's top legislature adopted an amendment¹ to the Administrative² Procedure Law Saturday, aiming to expand the people's right to sue the government.

 

全国人大周六通过行政诉讼法修正案，扩大了民告官的权利。

 

民告官即the people suing the government。新法扩大了行政诉讼案件的受理范围，有望解决民告官“立案难”问题（make it easier for citizens to take the government to court）。新法规定，对限制人身自由（restriction³ of personal freedom）、房屋土地征收补偿（violating agreements on land and housing compensation）、滥用行政权力（abuse of administrative power）、行政机关侵犯公民人身财产权利（violation of citizen's both property rights and personal rights by the administrative organ）等12种情形法院应受理。
