As tears go by　　　　Marianne FaithfullIt is the evening of the dayI sit and watch the children playSmiling faces I can seeBut not for meI sit and watchAs tears go byMy riches can't buy everythingI want to hear the children singAll I hear is the sound of rain falling on the groundI sit and watchAs tears go byIt is the evening of the dayI sit and watch the children playDoing things I used to do they think are newI sit and watchAs tears go by 泪水流逝　　　　　　玛莉安费斯佛正是傍晚时分我坐下来，看着孩子们嬉戏我看到了笑颜逐开的脸庞但那不是迎接我的我坐着、望着........直到泪水流逝我的财富买不到一切我多想听见孩子们的歌唱但我听到的，只是雨点落在地面上的声音我坐着、望着........直到泪水流逝正是傍晚时分我坐下来，看着孩子们嬉戏他们玩着我从前玩过，他们却觉得很新鲜的游戏我坐着、望着........直到泪水流逝 　 　很多人听过滚石合唱团，但其实都没听过他们的音乐，对本地的朋友而言，他们是不好听的团体，以安某的观点，他们是属于很棒但是不好听的音乐。1964年，该团主唱 Mick Jagger 米克杰格和吉他手 Keith Richard 奇斯理查写下" As tears g by "这首抒情曲，他们的经理 Andrew Oldham 听到后，却把这首歌先拿给旗下一位女歌手 Marianne Faithfull 灌唱，原本是放在单曲小唱片的 B 面，发行时才改到 A面当主打歌，没想到成为一首畅销曲，使得刚踏入歌坛的 Marianne Faithfull 有了一个好的开始。而" 滚石 "一年后才灌录这首歌曲放在专辑当中。　 　这首歌原名是" As time go by "，但因为和电影经典「 Casablanca 北非谍影」的主题曲同名，于是改为" As tears go by "。米克杰格后来回忆道：「我写下歌词，奇斯谱曲，但对当时才廿一岁的我们，这实在是首过于感伤的曲子，"傍晚时分，看着孩童们嬉戏"........像一个有点年纪的人写出的歌。」　 　Marianne Faithfull 在歌坛发展还算顺遂，但后来因染上毒瘾，到了 70 年代末复出时，嗓音已变得沙哑而苍老。1987年，她在专辑「Strange weather 诡异的天气」中重唱" As tears go by "，和刚出道时的演唱判若两人，但也吸引了另一群喜爱不同格调的乐迷。
