  Words and phrases

1. Your words cut rather deeply : “你的话真得很伤人”。

Cut原意指“切、割、砍”，此处引申为“你的话令我‘心如刀割’”。

2. They're just some other lies :“这只不过又是谎言。”

口语中，我们可注意短语some other的用法，比如，拒绝见面的推托之辞“We can meet some other time.”（我们改天再见吧。）

3. a couple: 这里可不是指一对夫妇，而是“几个人”

4. But somehow it gets to you: 这句话有两种理解：“但不知怎么着你还是知道了（这些秘密）”；“但不知怎么着却惹了你”

由于前句说“我真不知为什么，你总想知道我所有的秘密”，所以此处可理解为“你还是探到了我告诉给朋友的秘密”。不过，若这样，it在此应指代“secrets”，似乎不妥。

短语get to sb.在口语中常用来形容“惹怒某人，影响某人”，如Her constant nagging² is beginning to get to him.（她不停地唠叨，惹得她生气起来。）在歌中，it可理解为“告诉朋友秘密这件事”，由此，“但不知怎么着却惹了你”更符合歌者的原意。

4. And I swear you'll experience that some day : “我发誓总有一天你会尝到同样的滋味。”

5. kinda:  kind of的缩略形式，在前几首歌里如“Any man of mine”，我们已见过类似的表达。

6. You may think that it's all forgotten: “也许你想当什么事都没有发生过”

这句话日常生活中肯定用得到，尤其当男孩子认错不彻底时，女友十有八九会这么说。
