Both deportation1 and exclusion2 mean that you're not allowed to stay in the U-S, but they're different in some ways. Deportation affects people who are already in the U-S, either legally or illegally, by forcing them to leave. On the other hand, exclusion forbids someone to enter the country. Your rights are different depending on the procedure. You may be subject to exclusion or deportation if you fall into one or more of the statutory classes. Grounds for exclusion or deportation include health, conviction of crimes, threats to U-S security, or violations4 of immigration laws.
