Hong Kong soccer club Xiangxue Sun Hei defeated Hoa Pha Hanoi of Vietnam in a Group D match of the preliminary round of the 2007 AFC Cup on Tuesday at Mongkok Stadium.

Freitas Fladimir Da Cruz opened the scoring trend for Xiangxue Sun Hei in the fifth minute and the home team led into the second half with 4-2.

The visiting team fought back in the 54th minute as Vu Hong-Viet made it 4-3 with a header, but Xiangxue Sun Hei then totally crushed the defense¹ of Hoa Phat Hanoi as they scored three goals in a row and Freitas Fladimir Da Cruz finished his hat-trick in the 74th minute.

Nguyen Anh Cuong scored a penalty² in the 76th minute, but it was too late for the visiting team to level the game.

With the victory, Xiangxue Sun Hei top the Group D with a 5-1 win-loss record, while Hoa Phat Hanoi, with three points, fourth of the group.
