China entering into a new entertainment era

Chinanews, Beijing, Aug 20 - As China's economy further develops and its people's income further increases, China is entering into a new entertainment era.

 

According to a research from SinoMonitor International, several years ago many Chinese entertainment celebrities1 began to appear on the cover page of the American Times Magazine and the Newsweek in China. Since then, Chinese entertainment economy has entered into a booming period. In recent years, the super voice girl contest became one of the most successful entertainment events throughout China. Various live shows have also become a popular entertainment event among the Chinese public. Entertainment activities are held just to call people's attention to them.

 

Investigations2 show that in China, many people like to watch TV programs that aim at amusing the audience. These programs include entertainment TV programs, music programs, programs related with tourism and leisure activities, TV programs that help people to seek marriage partners, and programs about scientific explorations. The audience rating for these programs is on the rise year by year.

 

Not only to TV, the same thing has happened to other media types, too. More and more radio listeners, for example, tend to listen to some entertainment radio programs. The number of people who read newspaper entertainment pages is also increasing.

 

All these show that people have a strong preference for entertainment programs. With this social background, media carriers that can provide entertainment contents will be highly welcomed by Chinese consumers.
