Chinanews, Shanghai, Sept 29 – China is going to launch its first moon probe satellite, Chang'e No.1. Many people are eager to see the launching process on the spot. According to information released by Xichang Satellite Launching Center on Thursday, about 1,000 people have reserved a ticket to see the launching process. Right now, the ticket price for the launch view is set at 800 yuan per person at the lowest. The organizer might raise the ticket price in future, the Oriental Morning Post reported.
Chang'e moon probe satellite is scheduled to be launched on October 26. The launching time might be set at night, the travel agency said.
By September 27, more than 1,000 people had booked a ticket, most of them from various cities across China. However, the viewing stand built in the Xichang Satellite Launching Center can only seat 2,000 people at most. Since many seats will be reserved for the military, technical engineers and government officials, the seats available for ordinary people will be less than 2,000, said a person working with Xichang Jinying Travel Agency.
Right now, only domestic people can go to the site to see the launching process. Foreigners can not view the launching moment on site.
