Chinanews, Chengdu, October 8 – The first giant panda scientific exploration museum in the world, one of the most important sub-museums of the Chengdu Giant Panda Museum, was opened to the general public on October 1, 2007.
In the scientific exploration museum, visitors can learn the myths of giant pandas via movies, interactive1 videos, computer games, etc. in six themed halls covering approximately 1,000 sq m in all. All the items on display in the scientific exploration museum are based on results of the joint2 research of Chinese and American zoologists3. There is also a special zone called “Contact the World” in the museum, where visitors can send their greetings via various giant-panda-themed E-cards.
