Liu Denghong, head of the research institute, said that they would conduct research on wild Chinese sturgeons, and guarantee a better living condition for them. The institute had begun a new research on their reproduction on last October. Liu also revealed that 4.7 million artificially raised sturgeons have been put into the river since 1984.
