Life's Mystery

　　Life is filled with surprises,

　　We know not what each day may hold;

　　Like a book we find intriguing¹

　　as each page the story unfolds.

　　How an ugly little caterpillar² can

　　become a lovely butterfly;

　　Or a tiny little hummingbird³ can

　　flutter its wings and fly high

　　up into the sky!

　　The wonders of God's creation

　　so intricate and so unique!

　　Why the God who created this

　　whole universe, the heart of man,

　　would seek!

　　That He made us in His own

　　image; and would sacrifice His only Son;

　　Who would give to us His salvation⁴

　　and over sin and death our freedom won!

　　We have no need to be afraid of what

　　our future might hold;

　　Let us put our trust in our Savior and

　　Lord and in confidence watch each new

　　day unfold!

　　Oh what an awesome⁵ God is He

　　whose love so boundless⁶ and free;

　　Would cover the multitude of our sins

　　that with Him we have life abundantly!

　　Let us glorify⁷ His name and give to

　　Him our love;

　　Let us praise and worship our Lord and

　　King who dwells in heaven above!
