1. get sth. across to sb. / get sth. across ***转达（信息）；说明
解 短语动词；词义溯源：使某人［理解（get across）］某事
例 To get my point across that guns are not toys, I want you to take a look at these photos of
children who played with guns because they thought they were toys. All of them are dead. And
you will be too if you play with guns.
2. get 〔have〕 sth. off one's chest **说出，倾诉
