A total of 41 small- and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) were added to China's New Third Board over the past week, latest data showed.
最新数据显示,过去的一周共有41家中小企业被加入新三板名单。
The newcomers brought the total number of companies listed on the National Equities1 Exchange and Quotation2 (NEEQ) system to 11,109.
Weekly turnover3 on the board was about 4.7 billion yuan (about 682.1 million U.S. dollars) during the period, down 10 percent from the previous week.
The NEEQ debuted4 in 2006 as an experimental platform for small, non-listed high-tech5 enterprises in Zhongguancun Science Park, Beijing. The present system was officially established on Jan. 16, 2013.
It complements6 the country's existing stock exchanges, the SME board and the ChiNext board. The board is seen as an easy financing channel with low costs and simple listing procedures.
