Chinanews, Beijing, February 15 – MasterCard's report on the conditions of rich Chinese reveals that they are developing a new mode of consumer behavior.
The report is based on a survey designed by MasterCard and conducted by National Condition Research Institute, covering 15,000 responders each with an annual income of more than $10,000. All of them are from Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, Tianjin, Chengdu, Chongqing, Wuhan, Nanjing, Shenzhen and Hangzhou.
Those who earn some $21,000 every year in China will start to open foreign exchange accounts and learn to play golf. An annual income of $22,000 means that they will start to enjoy regular travel abroad. Those who earn $28,000 every year are prone1 to invest on personal housings, and those who earn $30,000 can afford private cars.
The report also finds that 40% of rich Chinese usually dine out, 10% of them even dining out 5 or 6 times every week.
