Chinanews, Beijing, Mar1. 31 – China’s central bank revealed on Thursday that more people in Beijing intend to buy apartments than people in Shanghai and Guangzhou. Nearly 60% of middle-class citizens in Beijing intend to buy apartments.
The central bank launched a survey in more than 50 cities and towns nationwide in late February this year, and collected 20 thousand questionnaires, which show that few citizens who earn less than 2,000 yuan monthly want to buy apartments, and while those who earn 2,000-5,000 yuan and 5,000-10,000 yuan are in urgent need of buying apartments. More citizens in Beijing, Tianjin and Chongqing also want to buy apartments than citizens in Shanghai, Guangzhou, Wuhan and Xi’an. Prof. Zhao, from Renmin University of China said that citizens in Guangzhou and Shanghai invested more money in stock market and funds instead of real estate.
