Chinanews, Beijing, Apr. 7 – According to Guangzhou Daily, there are a number of people in China who make their living by opening shops on the Internet. It is estimated that they can earn 2,000 yuan a month in this way, which was higher than ordinary citizens' average monthly income in 2006. Citizens in Beijing, for instance, only earned 1,878 yuan per month on average.
Ms Shen's "net shop" has won profuse1 praises from her customers, and currently she can sell 2,300 pieces of clothing through the Internet, which is 5 times higher than her shop on the street. She has also hired 10 helpers. There are some 150 thousand people countrywide who open such shops through the help of the websites like Ebay, Taobao and other E-business websites. In the U.S. there are 350 thousand people who make their living in this way.
