Chinanews, Shanghai, April 29 - A report on the life of young lawyers in Shanghai was published recently, revealing that lawyers with higher academic certificates don't necessarily earn higher incomes.
The report covers 49 lawyers, and 55% of those whose annual incomes are between 10,000 yuan and 50,000 yuan are with Master's degrees, while the figure of those who earn more than 50,000 yuan or even more than 100,000 yuan every year is only 33%.
About 50% of the respondents earn between 10,000 yuan and 50,000 yuan every year, 34% between 50,000 yuan and 100,000 yuan, and 13% above 100,000 yuan.
Obviously, the income of lawyers depends much on their experience and the quality of their service, rather than their educational level.
